Biography
Marty Cohen
Chief Creative Officer, Interior Designer
The M Group Interiors
In his teens, Mr. Cohen completed his first 2 paid interior
design commissions over 30 years ago before enrolling in the
School of Environmental Design at the University of Colorado
where he studied architecture and design. After completion of
his undergraduate degrees, Mr. Cohen returned to his hometown
of Boston obtaining a Masters in Design Studies (MDesS) from
Harvard. While at Harvard he collaborated on residential and
commercial projects with noted architects Graham Gund, Moshe
Safdie, Larry Yaw and others.
From first home to formal estates, Mr. Cohen combines an appreciation
for the classics with a mood of informality; style and comfort
with a twist of character.
For him, the process of beautiful design will always be a collaborative
one. He helps you to determine your own style and tastes; improves
upon it by adding freshness, clarity and refinement; then finally
assists in the execution of the plan that was devised together.
A client once wrote: “Mr. Cohen is a true professional
who is learned, seasoned, creative; a collaborator who inspires,
challenges and stimulates and who provides knowledge and resources;
and, a home therapist who listens, interprets, offers sage advice
and moves your vision forward."
Clients have included notable politicians, athletes, educators,
physicians and attorneys, business leaders and business owners
as well as the folks next door.
